We are Great Life Mentoring.
When vulnerable children get great mentorship, everyone benefits. Because mentors bring out the best relationships. Ones that are healthier. More enriching. Long-lasting.
The Program – We’re part of Columbia River Mental Health Services, the largest behavioral healthcare provider in Clark County, Washington, and we work with all organizations providing behavioral health services to children in our area. Our program is rooted in the 4Results Model (established in 2000), the first youth mentoring program of its kind – and an award-winning Promising Practice that’s proven to get results.
- 98% mentor retention rate*
- 4-year average match length
*compare this to the national average where fewer than half the relationships established through formal mentoring programs last to their initial commitment (Grossman and Rhodes 2002).
Great Life mentors bring stability and hope to local children facing adversity.
The Children – Youth served by Great Life Mentoring are between the ages of 7 and 18 who reside in Clark county, Washington, receive government-funded healthcare, and have experienced trauma or face other circumstances that impact their everyday functioning. What helps them most? A consistent, trustworthy adult to help them form healthy relationships and behaviors that can last a lifetime.
Great Life Mentoring helps vulnerable children–and the adults who mentor them–live happier, healthier lives.
The Mentors – Great Life Mentoring marks community volunteers as the heart of this program. We could not have achieved such honor, recognition and positive outcomes without them. It has been their unconditional positive regard that impacts the kids to have a great life. In the process, the mentors discover more meaningful lives as well.
The life you change may be your own!
